52 Hour Maintenance Whirlwind
Immediately following the Poplar Island sojourn (below) Summer Sun was hauled for heavy maintenance Tuesday and splashed Thursday, looking new. The boat over-wintered afloat and needed some work.
Members quickly sanded, repaired barrier coat, and painted the bottom. Meanwhile, other members did expert gelcoat repairs above the water line, inspections and deferred maintenance tasks. Topsides were cleaned and waxed by a contractor. The boat was splashed and ready for service late Thursday afternoon.
Poplar Island Ecological Tour
