We’re excited that you want to join the Parklawn Sailing Association. We offer new members two levels of membership, Full and Novice.
Full Membership provides the opportunity to qualify as a Club boat skipper (upon successful checkout), to sail as crew and to join all Club and Training Sails, Social Activities and Maintenance Days. New membership also includes your choice of two Training Sails or a Training Sail and Skipper Checkout. This membership costs $395.00 along with a $240.00 Annual Maintenance fee for a total of $635.00.
Novice Membership includes ability to sail as crew and to access all Club and Training Sails and all Club Social Activities and Maintenance Days. Although you won’t be eligible to Skipper a club boat in your first year, you’ll get plenty of opportunity to hone your sailing skills and prepare for your chance to schedule a Skipper Checkout with one of our Training Skippers. Your first year membership is $210.00 with $185.00 deferred to your second year. You must also pay the $240.00 Annual Maintenance fee for a total payment of $450.00. The deferred membership balance of $185.00 will be added to your second year fees.
You may also add an Associate Membership (available with either the Full or Novice Membership) which includes access to all Club and Training Sails along with all Club Social Activities. This membership costs $105.00. Associate members must be the spouse or domestic partner of a Full or Novice member, 21 years of age or older residing at the same address as the member.
All Members are eligible to participate in Club scheduled Maintenance Days and can collect maintenance participation coupons. These coupons can be used to offset future maintenance, club sailing and training sail fees.

As a non-profit, we ask members to cover the credit card processing costs we incur. Those costs will be assessed as shipping fees and ‘taxes’ and ADDED to your total.

Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Damages and Hold Harmless Agreement
In consideration of my being allowed to participate in sailing and maintenance activities (the “Activities”) at any time on property (the “Property”) made available by the Parklawn Sailing Association, Inc.(“PSA”), I, the undersigned, for myself, my heirs and next of kin, representatives and assigns (collectively, the “Releasing Parties”), fully, freely and voluntarily release, indemnify and forever discharge and covenant not to sue PSA, and its respective affiliates, owners, directors, officers, employees, members and agents and their respective successors and assigns (collectively, the “PSA Parties”), of and from any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, loss of services, expenses, compensation, all consequential damages and attorneys’ fees (regardless whether pursuant to the laws of any county, state or country) on account of, or in any way arising out of, directly or indirectly, any and all known and unknown injuries, death, and property damage arising, relating to or resulting, directly or indirectly, from the Activities at any time regardless of the cause and without regard to any and all conditions, known or unknown, then existing or which may develop, on or related to the Property or negligence (including without limitation gross negligence) by or on behalf of any PSA Party (including all injuries, deaths, paralysis and conditions of health, whether or not immediately apparent following the Activities, or which I may at any time thereafter develop, collectively, “Liabilities”).
I acknowledge, understand and agree that (1) I am participating in the Activities voluntarily, (2) the Activities may be or become dangerous and may result in serious bodily injury, paralysis and/or loss of life to myself and others, and (3) by signing this Assumption of Risk/Waiver of Damages/Hold Harmless Agreement (the Agreement), for myself and on behalf of the other Releasing Parties, I freely, fully, voluntarily, and specifically release, agree to indemnify, forever discharge and covenant not to sue any and all PSA Parties from any and all Liabilities which includes claims brought by me or any Releasing Party, whether directly or derivatively, regardless of the legal theory involved in such claims and including but not limited to any and all conditions, known or unknown, then existing or which may develop, on or related to the Property or negligence (including without limitation gross negligence) by or on behalf of any PSA Party. I HEREBY PERSONALLY ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS IN CONNECTION WITH ANY AND ALL ACTIVITIES IN WHICH I PARTICIPATE.
I expressly acknowledge and agree that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive a release of liability as permitted by applicable law and that if any portion hereof is held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, it is agreed that the balance of this Agreement shall continue in full legal force and effect.
I hereby warrant and represent that I am 18 years old or older and that I have carefully read this Agreement and agree to its terms and conditions and that before signing this Agreement I had the chance to ask questions; and I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, I ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS AND WAIVE AND RELEASE CERTAIN SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS THAT I OR ANY OTHER RELEASING PARTY MAY HAVE OR POSSESS AGAINST ANY PSA PARTY.
